Restaurant Day Montreal | CHENCHEW x MAYA

Started in Finland on May 11, 2011, Restaurant Day is now the world’s biggest food carnival that happens once every season where anyone can set up an eatery, café or a bar for the day. The location can literally be anywhere and the menu can be as inventive as you want it to be. Noted by the press (CITYLAB from The Atlantic) as ‘being the biggest success story of Restaurant Day in North America‘, Montreal is also celebrating its first anniversary of Restaurant Day on February 15th, 2015. My ‘love-everything-homemade’ friend (also the sweetest girl ever) and I thought this is the perfect occasion for us to host our first pop-up restaurant. And what’s a better way to beat the frigid cold than a bowl of steamy homemade soup? I think we’ve just had a consensus on that one.

Let me walk you through Restaurant Day Montreal | CHENCHEW x MAYA.

Winter in the Big White North can be intolerable.
While going down South may not be presently possible,
We promise our homemade soups will make the time being enjoyable!

*$6.50 each, every soup is served in a 16 oz. take-out bowl and comes with fresh, wholesome, organic bread from a local bakery, Le Pétrin Fou.
**Cash only & take-out encouraged as we’ll be serving from our cozy yet semi-empty crib.
